2015 FASHION STATEMENT; COATS ~ PART TWO - MOJO OF THE MOTO JACKET

This is the second in my mini series on the 2015 Fashion Statement for outerwear garments.  Specifically coats, sweaters, vests, jackets, blazers, any and all apparel that help keep a body warm.

The term "Moto" is short for motorcycle in combination with fashion it is biker chic. This outer gear was another item originally created for the military. Then as a sturdy cover for those who had an inclination toward riding motor bikes or motorcycles.

Its popularity was elevated to an iconic level when it began to appear on the big screen in films such as "The Wild Ones", "Raiders of the Lost Ark", "Top Gun" Kelly's Heroes and the list goes on. Swathing the broad shoulders of the eternal bad boy. A symbol of the solitary lone wolf who dared to walk on the wild side. Answering to no one. Happy Days "The Fonz" Moto Jacket now resides in the Smithsonian . . . who knew a piece of leather could or would reach such heights?

Brando, Sutherland, Dean, Cruise and Winkler
So today's resurgence in the garment's popularity is not surprising. The Moto Jackets adds an edgy look and feel to any ensemble. An in your face, unmistakable sass and swag that sucks the air out of a room.

Compliments casual to evening wear, and available in an even wider range of colors than ever in its history.

You Can Find a Moto Jacket in Any Palette

A lot has changed since the advent of this jacket, but one thing remains a constant. It is worn only by the brave, the bold and the audacious. Those who step on cracks and color outside the lines.
